What is Ziwig Endotest®?
Ziwig Endotest® is a CE-certified in vitro diagnostic medical device. It is available by medical prescription for the early diagnosis of endometriosis based on a saliva sample.
This innovative diagnostic tool is based on the analysis of salivary micro-RNAs, using Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) and Artificial Intelligence (AI)⁵⁻⁶.

What is endometriosis?
Endometriosis is a chronic condition in which tissue similar to the lining of the uterus grows outside the uterine cavity, often affecting the ovaries, fallopian tubes, and the pelvic lining¹⁰.
This tissue behaves like endometrial tissue: it thickens, breaks down, and bleeds with each menstrual cycle. Since this displaced tissue has no way to exit the body, it becomes trapped, leading to inflammation, severe pain, and the formation of scar tissue and adhesions¹⁰⁻¹¹⁻¹².
Symptoms of endometriosis may include¹²⁻¹³⁻¹⁴:
- Chronic pelvic pain¹⁶
- Dysmenorrhea (painful periods)¹⁶
- Abdominal pain outside of menstruation¹⁶
- Sciatica-like pain
- Right shoulder pain during menstruation¹⁶
- Blood in stool during menstruation¹⁶
- Blood in urine during menstruation
- Painful urination or bowel movements¹⁶
- Alternating diarrhea and/or constipation¹⁶
- Extreme fatigue
